Here's the message I'm sending out to our school community at 7PM tonight as reminders over the next two weeks (we're still building out our final all school message list with all staff.....so you'll eventually get the voice message too:):
Peak Families,
Here are some quick updates to clarify events this week and next week before I send out our first edition of "The Peakly" newsletter.
*Back to School Night - Tomorrow Wednesday 8/23 will happen in 2 sessions to allow for parents to visit more than one classroom. Please join us for either the 3:30-4:15 session or the 4:15 -5:00 session. We are excited to have everyone join us for an overview of your students' grade level, curriculum, expectations, daily schedule, field experiences, fun events, and ways to support learning at home. We would ask that you keep students and siblings home as much as possible, but do not want that to be a barrier to anyone coming.
*Flex Testing Days - To clarify, please sign up for individual student testing with teachers through their communicated process on SeeSaw. If you're having any issues with getting on SeeSaw please give us a call in the main office at 303-982-2083. Students are only at school for the testing window of time, not the full day. Think of it like a doctor's appointment...except it's for educational testing:). If your student does not have testing (grades 4th and 5th) they do not have school.
*Car Line Safety - If you're picking up a Prek-2nd grade student, you need to park in the parking lot and walk up and cannot park in the car line. Also, when in the car line please stay in the single line and do not go into the other lane unless you are directed to do so by a staff member.
*Peak/JeffCO Calendar - Just as another reference and support for new families and returning families, here is a link to our combined Peak/JeffCO yearly calendar:
Thanks for your amazing CREW support and energetic start to our school year!
Make it a great day!
Sincerely,
Mr. Tim Carlin
